A vibrant and inclusive venue; serving the people of the Lakes Parish and beyond
When we were first contacted by Ambleside Parish Centre, they did have a website but it was broken and almost impossible to navigate or update. A hub to the local community, the centre was finding it difficult to engage online with their service users using the website they had.
Broadening into an up and coming venue alongside the services they offer to the community, they required a method to share and advertise events, classes and community projects. Their online image no longer reflected the centre and the vibrant community that centres around it.
A contemporary design and more fresh vibe was vital for the new website. We were inspired from our very first meeting by how active Ambleside Parish Centre are in the community, and wanted to create a website that would balance their vital outreach work with the ability to generate income through room hire for special events, meetings and conferences.
We built an Events page to allow them to highlight featured events, as well as a mored detailed events calendar which is easy for them to manage and update. With a wide array of visitors to the website it was a ‘must’ that it be easy-to-navigate, and people could simply find what they were looking for without it getting lost amongst less relevant information about the centre.
The website carefully balances the role Ambleside Parish Centre plays within the community whilst keeping it high up the list as a good option for venue hire and events in the Lake District. Inviting those who live locally, and those who visit from further afield.
