Amelia had an existing website which was built around her successful interior design blog. It was a website which she had built herself and had a look and feel which was true to the personality of Amelia Wilson Interiors. Nevertheless the popularity and reputation of the business was growing steadily and it was felt that a website with a professional finish may be beneficial.
The existing Amelia Wilson Interiors website had a strong interior design portfolio, and professional images to match. It was felt that the existing website didn’t make the most of the standard of interior design work Amelia undertakes, so a new WordPress website would allow Amelia to better showcase her best work, break it down into relevant categories.
Amelia has a distinct passion and talent for design - a new WordPress website would have to match this. Not to mention, a stylish website is the only way to market an interior design business online. When building the website, we played into a monochromatic palette and clean lines. We wanted the examples of Amelia’s work to pop and for the website to act more as the canvas for this.
We created a gallery for Amelia’s portfolio. Using professionally taken images, the gallery flows and allows visitors to the site to lose themselves amongst Amelia’s past projects. As Amelia is very much the heart of the business, and interior design is a service which is very much personal to the client, we wanted to be sure that her personality shone through the site. We set out to create a website which inspires, and through clever use of Amelia’s designs, we feel we have achieved this.
