The Challenge

Brew Brothers is a fresh, contemporary coffee house in the centre of Kendal which has a heavy footfall and a strong social media following. They have always had strong social media engagement, and having built their first website, it was felt that a new website which was further integrated with their social media would be more fitting. As a coffee house it is clear Brew Brothers is well-established, often full throughout the day, with a new website seen as an opportunity to maintain success and ensure that the cool, funky edge Brew Brothers brings to Kendal also transpired online.

Whilst the previous WordPress website was perfectly fine and fit with the Brew Brothers brand, the owners were keen for something that gave a more interactive and edgier vibe. The desire was for a central platform which tied together the interactions over Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. With the aim of being more interactive, however, we also wanted to include posts from the wider ‘Brew Brothers’ community. More importantly it was to stand out amongst similar websites in the local hospitality industry, giving a real feel for the place itself.

Our Solution for Brew Brothers

Having worked closely with the owners of Brew Brothers for a number of years we were in tune enough to support them in evolving their web presence. Whilst happy with their old web site, it was also over three years old and as a stylish coffee house it was time to freshen up with something a little more dynamic, modern and eye-catching. The actual web design was made easier as we had access to range of well-taken photography which brilliantly showcased Brew Brothers as well as the food and drinks served. From this we were able to pull together an aesthetically pleasing website which gives visitors a true feel for Brew Brothers.

With a strong following on social media from new and regular customers, we wanted to make the site more interactive. Introducing hashtag #brewkendal visitors to Brew Brothers are encouraged to snap photos and share their experience through social media platforms. These are then automatically fed onto a social media feed on the homepage amongst Brew Brothers own direct posts. This gives across the Brew Brothers ‘community’ feel on the website itself with regular fresh content strengthening SEO.

The website has a friendly, engaging and cool vibe which vastly reflects Brew Brothers, their happy regulars and the people behind the business.
