Brew Brothers is a fresh, contemporary coffee house in the centre of Kendal which has a heavy footfall and a strong social media following. With strong social media engagement, having a website seemed fitting. As a coffee house it is clear Brew Brothers is well-established, often full throughout the day. Therefore, a website was unlikely to increase footfall but instead help maintain its success, ensuring in the digital world it is also seen as ‘the place to go’ in Kendal.
Due to the already strong digital following it was important that any website matched this and was equally engaging. The desire was for a central platform which tied together the interactions over Twitter and Facebook. It was also to be a place where visitors could find out about upcoming events. Although, more importantly it was to stand out amongst similar websites in the market, giving a real feel for the brand as well as the place itself.
We worked closely with Mike and Tony from Brew Brothers in establishing the message they wanted to get across and the true value of having a website. From discussion and looking at examples that inspired them we agreed an image based, clean, eye-catching website was the way forward. The actual web design was made easier as we had access to range of well-taken photography (courtesy of Tony) which brilliantly showcased Brew Brothers as well as the food and drinks served. From this we were able to pull together an aesthetically pleasing website which gives visitors a true feel for Brew Brothers.
With their social media engagement already strong, we took things forward a step, setting Brew Brothers up on Instagram. With regular photography we felt it was a fitting platform. We then integrated this with the website so that the Instagram feed is displayed in the footer of the site. Likewise we ensured any new posts on the website were linked clearly with Twitter and Facebook; all in the aid of better SEO.
The website has a friendly, engaging vibe which has much room to expand on in order to increase engagement with visitors. We feel the room and intention to evolve vastly reflects Brew Brothers and the people behind it.
TONY BENTON, BREW BROTHERS
"We opened Brew Brothers Kendal late 2014 without a website in place. Darren & Eilidh are regulars in Brew Brothers and sometimes hold business meetings here to help new business customers with their websites. We are a licensed shabby chic artisan café serving fresh foods and cheeky cakes and Darren and Eilidh knew exactly how to pitch the website using some of our photos. We now have a very interesting and interactive website which is easy to navigate giving our customers lots of information about us. They are both easy to work with and very knowledgeable about their subject. ps, they love drinking gallons of coffee."
