Tractor Parts Supermarket

An Extensive range of Parts for All Tractors, Agricultural Machinery and Accessories

The Challenge

Sitting under a large Lancahire based agricultural parent company, Bryan Hoggarth Ltd, Tractor Parts Supermarket was set up to focus on online sales of agricultural parts and spares. Their initial website they had had built had aged and existed on a legacy system which was no longer supported.

The website they had was becoming difficult to maintain and stay on top of changing product listings. It was difficult for customers to navigate, often having to wade through a number of pages before landing on the specific part they were looking for.

Our Solution for Tractor Parts Supermarket

Through discussions, one of the main topics was how we could make the navigation of the site easier for customers to use. Understanding more about the business, we worked with Tractor Parts Supermarket to effectively reverse the navigation so that customers would no longer start their search with the specific part but instead the tractor series that they were looking for a part for. To do this we had to adopt a more complex and customised export/import of the products from the old site to the new WordPress website, with product categorisation the main priority.

To aid a simpler navigation we adopted a clear mega menu, visual navigation to the correct brands and we clearly laid out a simple click through from each brand to the correct tractor model. It is a large e-commerce website with over 2,000 products, many of which are rare and can be difficult to find. Ultimately we produced an easy-to-navigate e-commerce website with strong SEO which generates increased sales for a purely online business.
