Set in the heart of the Lake District, overlooking the town of Ambleside, The Lakelands is a resort of time-share and rental apartments. A popular resort that has been around for some time, they were keen to start refreshing some of their processes in place and to focus more on ‘online’. One key issues was that he bespoke booking system in place did not allow them to manage multiple properties over multiple calendars, causing administrative nightmares. With a full rebrand underway and with an online booking system that was starting to creak, to keep everything in line it was clear that the upcoming changes would also mean looking at a website refresh.
We build a new website using WordPress which was modern, fresh and a complete overhaul of their old one to match their contemporary new branding. The face of the Lakelands suddenly felt more fitting to the resort itself and appealing to existing and future time-share owners
The website was build to be intuitive and easy to navigate. It was also to be informative and helpful; about the resort itself and the beautiful surrounding Lake District. Ultimately it contains a lot of information which had to be laid out simply and clearly, accessible to the people looking for it. With Owners having access to privy information and newsletters, a separate private login area was included with the site.
We opted for a new booking system to help streamline the booking process for the Lakelands, allowing multiple staff members to manage the various properties they manage. In summary, we opted for WP Booking System as it offers a range of features and benefits that simplify the booking and appointment management process.
With lots going on on the ground at the Lakelands also, the website is ever evolving as new photos of refurbishments of the exterior, apartments and swimming pool are added. Giving the website a current dimension and showing the Lakelands at its very best.
