Scope of work
As part of our hosting maintenance package we also manage several domain names on behalf of Flatt Farm.
We delivered a modern website which highlights to the visitor the quality of service and care available.
We used WordPress, with support from highly recommended plugins, to integrate the site with Facebook.
From meeting with Jen, it was clear that as a team Flatt Farm are passionate about dogs and highly experienced. With many positive online reviews via Facebook and Google it was clear this was felt by many of their customers. It felt unfortunate for this to be lost on their website, particularly as it can offer assurance to potential new customers at what can be a difficult decision. Working with both Deskjock, and various WordPress plugins, both Google reviews and most recent Facebook reviews (there are too many to present all at once), appear on the website. As a result, the website has more than one dimension, it is more than a simple factual piece about the kennels based on user experience.
Additionally we created a social media board, understanding it is more within routine for Jen and her team to update Facebook than the site itself. The ‘Gallery’ on the website displays the Facebook story from their page. The imagery pulled through from Facebook which shows the positive experience of the dogs in their care is balanced with stock imagery as part of a smart but also warm design.
We worked closely to not only ensure that the website offers a positive shop window but also to draw in the type of customers and dogs they hope to attract which is of equal importance to them. Ultimately Flatt Farm has a website which closely represents them, their expertise and, most importantly, their genuine love of dogs.
