The Challenge

Harmony EPOS have served the retail and hospitality industry across Cumbria and Northern England for many years, advancing with new technologies throughout. When we first met with Trevor Procter at Harmony EPOS, they had an existing WordPress website which was still working for them, although the content was becoming a little outdated. Initially Harmony EPOS utilised our support package so that we could support them with their existing WordPress website, bringing it up-to-date with portfolio posts and product information.

It became clear throughout this process that the way the site had been built was making simple content updates inefficient in use of time, and that the site structure was not conducive to good SEO practice. Through further discussions with Trevor we were also aware that the business utilised Zoho as their client database and for email marketing campaigns. To support further growth of the business they were keen to integrate Zoho with the website. As conversations progressed it became clear that they were quickly outgrowing their existing website.

Our Solution

Taking both existing and fresh content provided by Trevor, we built Harmony EPOS a new WordPress website with a more contemporary feel, to match their top of the range EPOS systems. We took time over the framework of the site to make it more SEO friendly, using the historical data from Google Analytics to offset against the performance of the new website. Utilising WooCommerce, we presented the products so that they are easy to find and included a clear call to action, encouraging potential new customers to get in touch with Harmony EPOS. The site includes live chat to the same vain.

We built a landing page specifically for the Orderman 7, a product they are keen to promote. The landing page is visual, includes video content, and content that is particularly SEO friendly. Additionally with a support service available to clients, we developed a secure support portal where support customers can login to access important information or submit a support ticket.

Already comfortable with WordPress, we have built Harmony EPOS a website which they can comfortably make amendments to and navigate their way around the backend of WordPress. Working in conjunction we continue to also provide support when they are busy, and can now add products or content more efficiently, which works out more cost effective all round. As a result a positive working relationship continues with Harmony EPOS.
