V Move

A boutique estate agency covering areas in Lancashire and South Cumbria

Challenge

As a successful and established business V Move Estate Agents already had a website and existing web presence. The estate agency was established in Lancaster 8 years ago and had grown significantly during that time. With good client relations very much at the heart of the business it was recognised that the website is often a potential client's first impression of the business, and what was existing no longer in fitting with the V Move brand.

When we met V Move they had an existing WordPress website to represent the business that integrated with their property feed, Jupix. This linked to a separate WordPress blog site - they did not fall neatly under the same umbrella. The estate agent was starting to list more and more properties in a higher price bracket and the previous website did not necessarily represent this. A complete refresh that fit with the more boutique branding and their lavish office was necessary.

Our Solution

There was understanding all round that web design is a very fluid process, and we kicked it off by meeting with Victoria Green, owner of V Move, at their offices in Lancaster. This allowed us to get a real insight into their brand and personality. It also gave Victoria the opportunity to talk about the websites she liked, what sort of framework would work for the estate agency and her general concept of design. This gave us a real feel for the people behind the business and the clientele they want to appeal to.

When setting up the new website, which we also built in WordPress, we migrated over V Move’s blog posts knowing how important it was for SEO to keep the historical content. We then went to design a light and airy site which works well with the boutique branding. V Move have a great logo which relates distinctly to Victoria, so we gave prime and centre stage in the heading. White space and a more comfortable spacing in the design is offset with imagery with a natural, floral theme and shots of pink.

Once we were happy with the design we set up a test property feed using a sample feed from Jupix. This allowed us to make sure the site was configured correctly and Jupix integrated as it should. We then applied the design to the property feed, making it bespoke to V Move. Once we were all satisfied the website was ready to go, we switched to Victoria’s live feed which now stylishly advertises V Move property listings from Lancaster to Kirkby Lonsdale.
